RATES + INSURANCE
Initial Deposit
An initial deposit of $600 is required for all prenatal care clients on the first visit. This is a non-refundable deposit that is applied towards your balance. If you choose to change care providers or no longer receive care, this is non-refundable.
Global Midwifery Fee
Our practice bills a global midwifery fee of $4,500 including all prenatal visits, assistant fee, labor, delivery, and postpartum care for the mom and the baby. All labs and ultrasounds are an additional cost to the patient.
Half of the global fee is due by 24 weeks.
Birth Center Facility Fee
There is an $1,000 fee for the use of our facility. This includes the use of the birth center through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care. An additional $25/hourly fee may be incurred for stays beyond 6 hours postpartum unless medically determined.
Self-Pay Patients
If you are a self-pay client, there is a $200 discount when your balance is paid in full by 30 weeks gestation.
Payment Types
We accept PayPal, HSA, cash, checks, and credit cards. Please make checks payable to Special Delivery Midwifery Care. There will be a 3% additional charge on credit card transactions.
Payment Options
If you're interested in assistance through a medical loan, we have partnered with UnitedMedicalCredit.com. Payment plans made through Special Delivery would need to be completed by 36 weeks of gestation.
Insurance Information
We do accept insurance as a form of payment for services. We also accept cash, check, Paypal, and credit card. For all credit card payments, there is an additional 3% surcharge.

To determine if your insurance company will pay for your birth with us, please submit your information with the billing company we use (Napier Midwifery Billing) to find out more.

All patients are required to pay a delivery fee in full by 36 weeks. All insurance claims are filed after delivery per insurance requirements and monies reimbursed to the patient.

A note about SoonerCare: Unfortunately, SoonerCare does not cover out-of-hospital births.

Please submit a $30.00 payment for verification of benefits before sending insurance information. Member’s with secondary insurance will need to submit an additional $30.00 payment with secondary insurance information.

Please allow 5 business days for a complete VOB. Once verification of benefits is complete you and your Midwife will receive a copy of the VOB.
