We believe in women and in healthy birth. Surrounding birthing women with supportive, educated and experienced midwives creates a different kind of birth experience.
Welcome to Special Delivery Midwifery Care & Birth Center. Our midwives both have more than 35 years experience as midwives both at home, in the hospital and in our new birth center. Special Delivery Birth Center opened in May 2012 and has warmed the hearts of dozens of families during the first year of operation. Our two birth suites offer families a comfortable, safe place to labor, birth and bond with their new baby. Located near 71st and Yale, this south Tulsa location is within minutes of 3 hospitals and within 1 mile to Saint Francis. This location allows us to have close proximity in case of an emergency but with the comforts of home. Our facility also includes both of the midwives offices to inclue prenatal visits, maternity care and well woman care. Stop by for a visit during our office hours or come to one of our bi-monthly Open House nights to meet a midwife, tour the center and ask all your questions.

Ruth has been a midwife for 36 years and has attended nearly 2,000 births. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, she brings education, experience and a calm presence.
